Roos de Waal´s needlepoint work

Tjeck out the work of the Dutch artist Roos de Waal.  Her work is  mainly based on contradictions and she walks the line between good and evil looking for new balance. Roos´s amazing embroidery of serial killers was her first embroidery project. She was interested in their mothers and how or if they could still love there sons after what they did. In researching them she found out that their mothers all did horrible things to their sons. So she decided to do the sons portraits instead. Roos choose to needlepoint them cause like she explains: "Needle pointing to me symbolises attention, love, care and femininity".
